The Nelson Algren Museum proudly presents "The Face on the Barroom Floor", a Silleck Family Productions film adaptation of the Nelson Algren story. "The Face on the Barroom Floor" is classic, encapsulating Algren's notably dark humor to every detail.

The Silleck family is a father and son production that specializes in stop-motion lego films. Their contribution is a precious gift to us and all who love Nelson Algren.

The Nelson Algren Museum proudly presents

A hard-hitting evening with Algren authors Mary Wisniewski and Richard Bales as they consider the criminal case of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter.

Wisniewski will discuss Algren's last novel, The Devil's Stocking, based on the case, while Bales describes the 1975 benefit concert where Bob Dylan sang his song, "Hurricane." Algren Museum co-founder Sue Rutsen will discuss influential figures who made The Hurricane a cause celebre. Music by Zosia Holden.
